Forest Spoon by Nendo

I’ve always loved Nendo designs but this time they managed to create something really stunning and touching. I am talking about a forest spoon.

The Japanese designer Oki Sato from Nendo created these spoons with a bird profile in order they to bear a strong resemblance to a forest. The spoons were designed for the Japan curry chain restaurant Coco Ichibanya’s annual ‘Grandmother Curry’ campaign. The best part: 100,000 lucky customers will win curry spoons. Oh, I want to be among them.

The idea behind this spoon is to create a tool for eating that will make people happy and smile. Nendo managed to create a spoon that was interesting or fun to look at. Alone, each spoon resembles a tree but when the spoons are brought together, they look like a real big thick forest.

I can’t wait when they start selling these to the public.
